Composed for the project Rotterdam is Many Places, Cultural Capital 2001, it is recorded on the CD Captured images, published by Beta Imaginations, Rotterdam 2000.
The score is a graphical representation of the impressive art work Vierkant eiland in de plas (Square Island in the Pond) (1996), at Prinsenpark, Rotterdam, by sculptor Frans de Wit.
The composition is a mirror canon, with a graphic scoreand the score is read both in its regular direction, as well as backwards and upside down in retrograde.
