Together was composed for Jeremy Berkman and David Brown as part of Vancouver Pro Musica's Sonic Boom Festival in Vancouver, where I was composer in residence in 2016. The piece is thought of as a unison, bringing the two instruments together in several characteristics of the timbres they offer: deep low growls, glissandi, and a virtuosic melody in odd time.
